📝 Job Description: Front Desk Agent at Extended Stay America Minot

The Front Desk Agent is more than just a hotel receptionist; you are the face of our hotel, providing exceptional guest service from check-in to check-out. This critical front-line role requires strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, your ability to create positive experiences will directly impact guest satisfaction and hotel success.

📌 Key Responsibilities – Guest Service and Front Desk Operations

Customer Service Excellence

  • Greet guests with a warm, professional demeanor and ensure a smooth check-in/check-out process.
  • Provide guests with accurate information about the hotel, amenities, and local attractions.

Communication and Coordination

  • Answer calls, respond to guest inquiries, and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
  • Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and management teams to ensure guest satisfaction.

Reservation and System Management

  • Process room reservations using hotel management software.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest interactions and transactions.

Problem Solving and Guest Recovery

  • Evaluate guest concerns and implement effective solutions quickly.
  • Escalate complex issues to management when necessary while maintaining a calm and professional approach.

Financial and Administrative Tasks

  • Perform basic arithmetic functions for billing and payment processing.
  • Prepare shift reports and complete assigned administrative duties accurately.

✅ Qualifications and Skills Required for Front Desk Agent Position

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Hospitality training is a plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a hotel front desk, customer service, or similar role is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with hotel management software (such as Opera, OnQ, etc.).
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Conflict resolution and time management skills.
