This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to join Joneljim’s maintenance division as a full-time Plumber specializing in repair and upkeep of plumbing systems across various properties.


Detailed Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

As a Plumber with Joneljim Investments Ltd, your primary duties will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues in domestic, commercial, industrial, and institutional settings.
  • Installing, maintaining, and replacing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and valves.
  • Inspecting plumbing systems to identify potential issues and implementing preventative maintenance solutions.
  • Responding to emergency plumbing calls and providing on-call service as required.
  • Collaborating with other trades and facility maintenance personnel to ensure building systems run smoothly.
  • Complying with all local building codes, safety regulations, and Joneljim’s internal protocols.
  • Keeping detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Interacting professionally with clients, tenants, or building managers during service visits.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Education and Certification:

  • Completion of a Registered Apprenticeship Program.
  • Possession of a valid Plumber Trade Certification.
  • Red Seal Certification (preferred or in progress).

Experience:

  • Experience is considered an asset but not mandatory—apprentices and newly certified plumbers are encouraged to apply.

Licences and Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Basic security clearance and criminal record check required.

Technical and Physical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes and best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot plumbing systems efficiently.
  • Physically able to perform demanding tasks including bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting heavy tools and equipment.

Soft Skills:

  • Efficient interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in a team.
