Job Summary:

iHorizons is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Commercial Engineering (Agricultural Material) to lead our commercial agricultural engineering operations in Qatar. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of agricultural materials, farm management, and innovative problem-solving strategies to help revolutionize and streamline our supply and farming processes. This is a full-time leadership role, ideal for an individual passionate about agriculture, technology, and sustainable development in the GCC region.

Detailed Job Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all commercial engineering activities related to agricultural materials, including fertilizers, seeds, and farming equipment.
Oversee the strategic planning, procurement, and distribution of agricultural inputs across multiple farm operations.
Collaborate closely with farming teams to align engineering solutions with on-the-ground needs of vegetable and crop production.
Drive the development and implementation of innovative, cost-effective solutions that increase productivity and efficiency in farming processes.
Analyze agricultural engineering data and market trends to support decision-making and planning.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of agricultural materials.
Manage a team of engineers and technical experts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and performance standards.
Conduct regular field visits and technical assessments to ensure adherence to best practices in agricultural engineering and material usage.
Work cross-functionally with finance, R&D, and operations to optimize supply chain and resource utilization.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years’ leadership experience in managing farm operations or agricultural engineering, preferably with exposure to large-scale commercial farming.
Proven expertise in dealing with agricultural materials such as fertilizers, seeds, and other crop inputs.
Strong understanding of vegetable farming, fertilizer application techniques, and crop production cycles.
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with a track record of implementing practical and innovative solutions.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in English and Arabic.
Prior work experience within the GCC region is mandatory.
A proactive, flexible, and collaborative leadership style with a strong problem-solving mindset.
